I’m super excited to announce a NEW portrait session that will be available for a limited time! The Finer Details Black Background Portraits are a unique, fun twist on the traditional black background portrait. Instead of your whole horse being featured on that black background, these sessions focus on your horse’s face and little details such as markings, dapples, noses, etc. – all of the little things you love about your horse.
You’ve all seen the ubiquitous black background equine portrait, which features your gorgeous horse, photographed in natural light, on a black background. While my classic black background equine portraits focus on your whole horse in a variety of poses, both full-body and headshots, these portraits focus on the finer details.
New Finer Details portraits are all about the little details, and focus on headshots and close-up detail shots.
While most photographers offer classic black background portraits, every photographer has a different vision, process, and end result. For me, the most important aspect of these portraits is to capture the personality and beauty of your one-of-a-kind, unique, perfectly imperfect horse.
The Finer Details Black Background Portraits
There is a minimum requirement of 2 horses/participants per barn.
$450 per horse includes:
- 4 high-resolution digital images to download with print release for personal use
- at least one full headshot pose, and three additional creative poses to capture your horse’s personality and best features
- images delivered via private password-protected online gallery within 3 weeks of session date
- option to order custom wall art and prints directly through your private online gallery
Are you planning on having a horse & rider portrait session, but would like to add on a few black background portraits? Add The Finer Details Black Background Portraits to your horse & rider portraits for $300.
There are NO ordering appointments, and NO print purchase requirements – no strings attached. Just four gorgeous detail portraits of your perfectly imperfect horse.
Things I DO:
- photograph your horse in natural, flattering, indirect light – NEVER strobes, flash, or artificial light
- pose and position your horse to best show off (or downplay) their conformation and highlight their best assets
- during the editing and retouching process, I remove all temporary blemishes/marks/imperfections, and preserve permanent markings
- painstakingly preserve and highlight the actual color and texture of your horse’s coat for gorgeous true-to-life color
I DO NOT:
- swap out body parts, manes, or tails
- distort or manipulate the conformation or shape of your horse
- over-edit or swap out eyes
- drastically alter the color or texture of your horse’s coat
