I am SO EXCITED to announce my 2022 passion project, the Golden Years Project, for horses 30 years of age or older!
The Golden Years Project
For each of the last two years, I’ve chosen specific topics to explore through photography. The first of these projects, The Senior Horse Project, was hands-down one of the coolest, most rewarding things I’ve ever done. So I’ve decided to take it up a notch and focus on the super seniors this year!
The Details | The Golden Years Project
I’m looking for horses/individuals in the NJ/PA area to participate in this project. Your horse must be 30 years of age or older, and live within 50 miles of 08534. You must be willing/able to complete a questionnaire/interview as well as pose for a photo shoot with your horse(s). If your horse fits this description, then please apply by filling out the form below!
Golden Years Project participants will receive a complimentary photo shoot as well as an 8×10 print of your favorite image from our session, with the matching web-sized digital image for social media and online use. If you prefer, you may apply the value of this item to the purchase of any prints or print products. You will have the opportunity to purchase digital images, wall art, prints, and albums from your session if desired. If chosen and you would like to move forward and officially book your session and participate, you will be asked to submit a $100 refundable retainer. This retainer will be refunded to you in full after the session is completed; if you prefer, you may apply it to a product purchase. It will only be forfeited if you cancel or don’t attend the session.

My Passion Projects
A little back story for context! In late 2019, I came up with the idea to highlight senior horses and tell the stories of these horses and their humans through photography. This is how The Senior Horse Project was born! I selected a few deserving horse & rider pairs from over 150(!) applications, and embarked on what would prove to be one of the most rewarding projects/journeys I have ever worked on. I met and deeply connected with the most incredible people and horses. I’m currently wrapping up this project and will be posting the final story shortly – in the meantime you can read the posted stories here! The project was inspired by my senior horse Ollie, who unfortunately passed away in the summer of 2021. This project was a labor of love and motivated me to create The Second Chances Project for 2021.
The Second Chances Project was inspired by my friend Jenna and her horse, Mojito. He’s a sweet dapple grey pony rescued from the kill pen at auction. I set out to tell the stories of rescue horses; the goal being to share with the world what these “throw away” horses can achieve in a loving home. Due to the pandemic, I’m still working on/wrapping up this project. Thankfully, it has turned out to be as satisfying and fulfilling as I’d hoped, and I’m so excited to share these stories with you soon. After working on these two projects, I’ve decided to make passion projects an annual event! I set out to explore a new and inspiring topic each year. Which leads us to this 2022 project!
